After dinner, we explored, returned to our tent and played board games on the private open deck. Staying overnight was the way to go because upon check in you may wander the grounds and begin to “get the lay of the land.” Roasting s’mores at the fire pit was much appreciated by grandson. Two queen beds were amazingly comfortable. We glammed! Was very nice and beautifully decorated with genuine artifacts. We spent one night in a spacious tent imported from Botswana. While pricey, at the end we ALL agreed it exceeded our expectations! Many lasting memories were made from this trip, and we have beautiful photos. We took our daughter and 10-year-old grandson to celebrate his birthday and the end of fourth grade. You can take turns riding on the top for added adventure. You get up close like you would on an African safari. There is a large variety of animals and all the employees are very knowledgeable and kind. One year we splurged for the behind the Scenes and it was 100% worth it! My son got to feed several animals and it was core memory material.

The animals all look so happy and content. When you stay overnight you get to wander the grounds and see many of the animals. My son was 6 and 7 on the trips and enjoyed brining some dolls and art supplies for the evening. You can look out and see the animals from many tents and you cannot beat the ambiance. The tents are very spacious, have many gorgeous details and the beds are so comfortable.

Sure, no AC or TV but thats not what you are there for. The "tents" are quite luxurious in my opinion. This year my mom came and she said it was one of the most awesome experiences. We live in the bay area and I am a solo mom, so this is a perfect trip for us. My son ( 7 years old) and I have gone two years in a row.
